Joachim Ben Yakoub is PhD Fellow at the department of Conflict and Development of the Ghent University. His research is situated on the intersection of art and political theories, where he investigates the revolutionary context of Tunisia from a postcolonial perspective. He proposes to question the revolutionary performative processes of destruction, diversion and re-construction through a critical aesthetic lens. He is affiliated to the Middle-East & North Africa research group (MENARG) and the “Studies in Performing Arts & Media” research group of the university of Ghent (S:PAM).
