Dragomir Olujić Oluja was born in 1948 in Croatia, in a partisan family. His father is Serb, mother is Croatian. His nationality is “Jewish, bike rider, rock and roller.” Masters degree at the Faculty for Political Studies in Belgrade. He was an active participant in the students’ demonstration of 1968 and an activist in the students’ movement in Yugoslavia (1966-1974) 96 as a supporter of the “workers line.” One of the founders and activists (student and lecturer) of the “Free University” (1976-1984), the only opposition organization in Tito’s Yugoslavia alongside the “petition movement.” One of founders (1988) and a member of editorial team of “Self-management,” the first independent and non-state newspaper in “socialist” Yugoslavia. He is employee of Radio Television of Serbia but on a “compulsory holiday.” Mainly he works as a freelance journalist and regular exterior correspondent for newspapers “Svijet” in Sarajevo and “Tribina” in Tuzla, both from Bosnia.
