    Mario Hibert is an associate professor at the Department of Comparative Literature and Librarianship, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo. In autumn 2018 he published a book „Digitalni odrast i postdigitalna dobra: kritičko bibliotekarstvo, disruptivni mediji i taktičko obrazovanje“/„Digital degworth and post-digital commons: critical librarianship, disruptive media, and tactical education“ (Zagreb, Multimedia Institute and Institute for Political Ecology). He was the program selector of the „Pravo Ljudski“ Human Rights Film Festival, author of the documentary film „XXth Century Man“, and a poetry book „Judas’s Toys“.

    He holds a doctoral degree in information and communication sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, Croatia; and has a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democracy from the Center for Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies, University of Sarajevo and the University of Bologna. He has written in Bosnian and English numerous articles on different aspects of the information society, digital culture, media literacy, library and information ethics. He is actively involved in EU/UNESCO’s project „Building Trust in Media in southeast Europe and Turkey“ (2017- 2019) implemented by the Institute for Social Research at the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Political Sciences.
