    Miha Marek

    Miha Marek is an independent researcher, translator, and writer. He graduated in Philosophy, French, and Biology at the University of Ljubljana. He has written on the philosophy and science of the French Enlightenment, on the philosophy of biology, and on theater and literature, as well as authoring three theater plays and a book of poetry. He has translated into the Slovene language classic works by Denis Diderot, Emile Durkheim, Sarah Kofman, and François Jacob, as well as works by influential contemporary authors in the fields of critical theory and education theory. Most recently he composed and translated into Slovene an anthology of early Zionist writings entitled The Jewish State and collaborated on a Slovene edition of selected articles from Diderot and d’Alembert’s Encyclopédie. His areas of interest include Enlightenment philosophy, the history, and philosophy of science, Jewish history and religion, Hebrew studies, and literary criticism.
